MOLESKINE DOODLES: Meltdown by kerbyrosanes MOLESKINE DOODLES: Meltdown by kerbyrosanes
Another take on the causes and threats of climate change. Deadly effects of global warming include drought, severe hurricanes, massive fires and melting of the polar caps. Is it already too late?

I love this! I have a colouring book for things like this and I enjoy looking at those as it is, but someone's who's definitely created their own and have severe detail all while adding texture--you have major talent that I am so jealous of!

OK, so I'm going to sound really dumb, but can anyone tell me what it's called when you create a larger drawing using lots of smaller drawings like this? I want to say it's like collage or something, but that's not quite right.

It's a great drawing... and the conceptual theme is developed well and very compelling...

Even if global warming is a proven hoax, and the polar bear population is larger than it has ever been at any other time since such records have been kept. Oh, and BTW from a purely logical standpoint, CO2 is basically plant food and warm weather helps plants grow... And plants produce more oxygen. Both plants and oxygen are very good for animals. So even if it was happening there is no reason to think it would not be a good thing. But the truth is that 'statistically' there hasn't been any global warming for the past 17 years or so. And throughout the ages the weather has been far warmer and far colder than it currently is... so again, there's no reason to suppose that if there was global warming it would be caused by man. And finally, even if we supposed that everything really was just as bad as even the most alarmist of the alarmists claims that it is and we did everything that they suggest that we should do with carbon taxes and other job (and people) killing policies--the highest estimates are that it would cost us Trillions of dollars for ever degree of temperature change we enacted... which means that you could literally take every economic dollar generated on the planet for the next several years, put it towards changing the outcome of the weather and it wouldn't change things enough to have a significantly noticeable impact.

That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be good stewards of the planet and try to promote clean energy. But the irony is that the US is now one of the cleanest places on the earth, precisely because we've been prosperous enough to have the excess money needed to keep our environment clean. Yet the Global Warming policies are intentionally designed to limit economic and social advance--creating more economically challenged places on the earth--like CHINA, which creates so much pollution that 2/3 of LA's pollution actually originates in China.

Thus, since GW policy is designed to hinder and restrain economic prosperity, it would seem that it is also obviously designed to increase pollution.

Just some things to think about. :)

Awesome picture :)

You asked in the discription;
Is it too late? I won't sound depressing but i think yes, there are way too many rich ba**ards who want more and more and more and more money because three houses and 20 cars aren't enaugh. The thing is, this guys make the rules, more or less. And if we don't change something, it's over with us before we really realize it. The Nature wants to get rid of us! HIV didn't work well enough, and now there is Ebola, and i guess there will come much more issues like this one. Ebola is just the beginning of our all end...

If it's not A Virus or the global warming that is going to kill us all, then it's the god dammit 3rd World War! (That IS-Motherf***ers got a big potential...)

Alright, first of all, ISIS has less potential to start a third world war than Scotland would have if they decided "f**k it, I'm going to blow up the world!" Secondly, it's not too late, and it won't be (Don't worry, I don't deny climate change exists, I just know how fluid the situation is). Thirdly, Nature isn't sentient.

We are just meaningless specks of carbon, floating in a breeze, temporarily bunching up (That's a life, by the way). The fact that people believe that we are more than that we'll ever do anything permanent isn't possible. We're too insignificant.
